PHPスペシャル 10月号

こんにちは！
CDジャケットサイズアート展も終了し、晩夏に入り、朝晩はずいぶん涼しくなりましたね。
台風の中を青春十八切符で上京しようと試み、大雨で電車は足止め。あえなく途中で新幹線に乗り換えた…、そんな思い出の夏になりました。

さて、PHPスペシャルの連載も第３回目、の１０月号のお知らせです。
９月１０日発売予定。

Hi Everyone,

The summer time is going to finish. I feel nice breeze in the early morning these days.
The other day, I tried to go to Tokyo by local train but I gave up on the way for the heavy rain by the strong typhoon. My train was stuck, so i couldn't help changing to Shinkansen (Super Express Train!) It's amazingly comfortable. That is my summer memory in Japan this year.

This is the third work with PHP special magazine going to be published soon. 10th Sep 2011.

グランヴィア大阪 ２６F

京都市立芸術大学とホテルグランヴィア大阪のコラボレーション。
グランヴィア大阪　Art Works Project @KCUA に参加することになりました。
今月から、私の作品も客室に飾っていただきます。
もちろん宿泊可能ですよ！

今日はそのグランヴィア大阪で開催中のARTOSAKA2011に遊びに行ってきました。
数々のアート作品だけでなく、２６Fの絶景は素晴らしかったですよ。今日は天気も良く、空気が澄んでいたのか、山までくっきり綺麗に見えました。

私の作品もどんな風に飾られるのか楽しみです！


I am going to take part in the collaboration by Kyoto City University of Arts and the Hotel Granvia Osaka. (Art Works Project @KCUA) My work will be hung up on the wall in some guest rooms from this month for a year.

You can stay in the rooms, of course! Please ask the Hotel Granvia Osaka about staying.

The project rooms are on 26th floor having amazing view!! (I don't know whether my works are gonna be in view side rooms or not. But I say, it's very nice Hotel!)

暑い日が続きますね。日本の夏を過ごすのは５年ぶりです。イギリスの夏は暑い日もありますが期間は短く、基本的に過ごしやすいのです。エアコンなんて一般家庭には普通ありません。
あー、久しぶりの猛暑に耐えられるか心配です。

さて、お知らせです。

It's very very hot in Japan. I cannot believe that summer just has started! I have no idea how to survive this summer. I was watching the whether forecast which said 'July will be hotter than usual years, August will be hot as usual, September will be hotter than usual years.'  I seriously miss London whether now.

Sandwich

I came back to Japan. It was very nice to stay in the UK. I made something I really wanted to do this time. One of my wish was going to Sandwich. Yes! I made sandwich with my friend in the morning and went to Sandwich to eat sandwich in Sandwich!! Truth or not, the village called Sandwich is said that the place where the sandwich was born. Lord Sandwich, John Montagu asked his servant to bring his slice of meat between two sliced breads because he was too busy to eat his meal when he was enjoying the card game. Even without this funny story, this village is pretty enough to visit. There are many historical buildings. Nice riverside walk. Cosy and Beautiful.

日本に帰国しました。英国滞在は楽しかったです。以前から行きたかった場所に行ってきました。サンドウィチ村です。朝からサンドウィッチ作ってサンドウィッチの駅で食べてきました！嘘かまことか、サンドウィッチ発祥の地と言われています。領主であったサンドウィッチ伯爵がカードゲームの時間が惜しくて手づかみで食べられるものを召使いに作らせたのが始まり、というお話があります。そんなお話抜きにしてもなかなか魅力的な場所でしたよ！古い建物もたくさんあり、川沿いを歩いたり、居心地の良い美しい所でした。写真は川沿いの公園に置かれたベンチ。イギリスでは誰かがベンチを寄付する、ということはよくあるようです。このベンチはサンドウィッチを愛した女の人からのようですね。 

Beautiful English Style Weekend

The most beautiful village in England, Castle Combe. I stayed in this lovely country side last weekend. Many thanks to the family who invited me staying with them. It was amazing and unforgettable weekend.
I will come back to Japan soon. Time is flying so quickly...
